By the mid-50s, his eldest son Justin Tubb, then establishing himself as an artist and songwriter, became involved with the business organization. Tubb's nephew, Billy Lee Tubb, was his lead guitarist briefly (fall 1959 April 1960). He married his second wife, Olene Adams on June 3, 1949. He died on September 6, 1984 in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. news
