The firm of Hughes Fields and Stoby was founded in September 1972 by Clarence A. F. Hughes, Richard B Fields and Robin M.S. Stoby.
The founders were all Barristers who were called to the Inner temple, Lincoln’s inn and Grey’s Inn respectively. They were called to the Bar in the United Kingdom in 1958, 1968 and 1972 respectively.
The firm’s office known as “Hadfield Chambers”, was established at Lot 62 Hadfield and Cross Streets, Werke n Rust, Georgetown, Demeara Guyana in a nineteenth century colonial building
The firm quickly established its pre eminence in the practice of law and provided top flight legal services to the commercial community in Guyana and overseas.
