More important than the orbs however, are the Sheikah Slate powers that each of these shrines gives to you. Enemies. With only 15 shrines that could be considered good, another 15 that are only okay, and the rest either being bad, empty, a mixed bag of world quests, or the same combat shrine copy and pasted, I think its easy to understand why this core part of Breath of the Wild was so disappointing. An anime Breath of the Wild knockoff or a charming, character-forward adventure that's too fun to put down, Genshin Impact is plainly fantastic, and there is no reason you shouldn't play it.. Close . But enough. These fights are interesting the first few times you do themexcept for the stone monsters which are always kind of dull. There was a decent shrine that built on the foundation of the magnetic ability, first by having you get a set of platforms swinging in place, then coiling the spiked balls around the ceiling beamor making them swing in a pattern that you can dart throughand then making some stairs to the end. While its certainly a story that received more attention than any of the Mario games, its still primarily an excuse for Link to travel the world and have an adventure. The koroks who live in Korok Forest are very verbal. I know its not fair to want MORE content, because Breath of the Wild is already brimming with stuff to do. I got here so soon that I was still armed with my crappy Plateau weapons. Seriously, well done. There was one that was an assault course of lava, wind, and timing jumps with the glider. And I am certain that I likely missed another 300 hidden in those same areas I went through. Its 15 hearts worth of damage. So there is a progression but its just not enough. The former of which is only required to do a handful of quests in the area and a korok seed, while the latter is never used for anything specific at all. This ties into the first point on the list: this system doesnt really encourage use of a lot of weapon types. These two options are at the opposite ends on a spectrum of insanity. Because instead of percentage modifiers, Nintendo used this batshit insane subtraction system which makes it so low armor players get destroyed, high armor players take absolutely no damage, and people in the middle have to play a game of chicken on whether or not they should upgrade their armor to make the game a little easier, but not TOO MUCH because otherwise theyll ruin the game by blocking all incoming damage. And I think that wraps it up for shrines. That way all the ingredients that just increase how many hearts a meal gives you would matter. It has 30 attack damage which is middle-of-the-line. But Im pointing it out for the sake of just having some basic numbers for you to grasp the system if you havent played the game, and to also show how reliant the game is on gear. Weapon durability in this game has been such a hot topic that Ive read quite a bit of articles on it. Fortunately, there isnt really much of a story to spoil anyway. Its like some shackles you never knew you had have been broken. But wait, there's more! Its an abundance of breakable ones. Lets go through these in more detail. You will also begin writing the rough draft of your fictional narrative, focusing on the exposition . Im not kidding either. So each damage point is a quarter of a heart. At any point. Probably. As were some of the mini-games like the Goron Climbing challenge, and the sand seal racing in the desert. The only other different one is the spear, which I enjoyed a lot, but I found much fewer of these than any other weapon type.
