I bought a 2018 jeep compass in 2019 it had about 10 thousand miles on it. Both batteries were replaced. The failure mileage was 1,000. Cause me not to be able to move. When I pulled over and put it in park it shut itself off and would not immediately restart. This is going to get someone killed. The lights work but turn on and off at random times. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. Powered vehicle off then back on. . I got the vehicle off the road and put the vehicle in park. I have a rear view camera that went out 4 times during the warranty period , there is now 50k on jeep compass 2018 and camera is out completely, I am wondering if others are having this problem and why isn't this on a recall, thanks. They said the oil is not pumping out. When the screen goes black I cannot make any adjustments to radio, maps, air for heat and cool and the back up camera is unavailable. When I let off the brake the car did start back up. Vehicle currently has 11,400 miles on it. I then put the car in drive and proceeded to press on the gas to see if it would move forward. Many times when I start my car and start moving my car stalls. Once the parking brake is fully disengaged, The BRAKE warning lamp in the instrument cluster and the LED indicator on the switch will extinguish. Vehicle seems to be consuming oil at a rapid pace. The vehicles start/stop was completely disabled for for up to 3 minutes then the car very suddenly shook, powered down, and I was able to place it in park and restart the car via the start/stop button and normal operation was resumed. Car is burning through oil too fast. The entire engine needs to be replaced. No starting at all. This has happened again since and I have taken it to the dealership. Chart based on 170 repairs. I hope this reaches the right source and I hope they read the hundreds of other reports that are exactly the same or jeep will be on the news and all those that turned a cheek. Once at a stop light, then trying to leave a parking spot. Around the 4500 mile mark my jeep died as I was accelerating on a straight, 25 mph street segment after making a turn 30 feet prior. Maybe in a week, maybe in 5 minutes. The vehicle was towed to ramsey chrysler jeep dodge ram (1555 nj-17, ramsey, nj 07446, (201) 818-9600), but was not diagnosed or repaired. Vehicle is dangerous for stalling out even at speeds of 10-20 mph. After getting the car to start about 2 minutes later my control screen gave me a low oil pressure message. This is not legal advice. The vehicle restarted buy I experience a similar lack of power/acceleration. The vehicle electrical is not stable. The vehicle was stopped at a traffic light and the start/stop feature was engaged. Simply shuts down in the middle of a highway or side street.. After replacing battery they also said all old codes should've cleared from system and hadn't so they cleared them.
