Hughes, Fields & Stoby was pleased to participate in a recent Lex Mundi workshop in Puerto Rico bringing together general counsel from across the Caribbean.
The firm was represented by Managing Partner Nigel Hughes and Associate Tifaine, as part of HFS’s continuing engagement with legal and business leaders across the region.
Nigel chaired a session exploring an increasingly important question in the relationship between clients and their external legal advisers: At what stage of a project should outside counsel become engaged?

The session generated an excellent discussion on the value of early legal involvement, understanding the client’s commercial objectives, and developing a more collaborative relationship between general counsel and external advisers.

The workshop was a valuable opportunity to exchange perspectives, strengthen regional relationships and contribute to the continuing development of legal practice across the Caribbean.
HFS is delighted to have been part of a successful event and looks forward to continuing these important conversations.
