ExxonMobil increases Guyana resource estimate to 5.5 billion barrels
In wake of the two recent discoveries announced in February 2019 by US oil major ExxonMobil, bringing the total finds offshore Guyana to 12, the company has since increased its gross recoverable resource estimate to greater than 5.5 billion barrels of oil equivalent for the Stabroek Block.

Guyana’s Minister of Business, Dominic Gaskin, told a forum in the United States on Tuesday that the South American country is looking to chart its own course for economic prosperity and welcomes foreign investment that advances this agenda.
